Watch the mysterious glowing cloud shape like halo over moscow. Its a cool phenomenon seeing the clouds form like an alien ship hovering above the city. Others likened this halo clouds to an alien ship from the movie Independence day.
This halo cloud is so good that it seemed like it has been photoshoped. But meterologists has spoken and refute that it has been digitally altered. Also an article from the Daily Mail explains that the "luminous ring-shaped cloud" was simply an optical illussion.

LAS VEGAS -- Floyd Mayweather Jr. weighed in at 146 pounds on Friday afternoon, two pounds heavier than the weight stipulated in the contract for his comeback fight against lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The excess weight will cost Mayweather $300,000 per pound, meaning Marquez will get an additional $600,000 on top of his $3.2 million guarantee, a source told ESPN.com. Mayweather's minimum guarantee is $10 million, a figure likely to dramatically increase after the pay-per-view receipts are counted.

As soon as the bell rung, Bobby Lashley went in for a quick takedown. He had no problem with bringing the much larger Sapp to the canvas. From there, he executed his game plan well, staying on top of Sapp and throwing a barrage of punches. Sapp tapped to signal that he wanted the fight to end, but the referee did not see it, and Lashley kept punching. Finally, Sapp tapped again, and the referee put an end to the fight at 1:17 in the first round. After the win, Lashley announced that he is ready for whoever wants to take him on.

The U.S. soccer team is in the final of the Confederations Cup, beating mighty Spain 2-0.

Even more stunning, the Americans were on the verge of elimination and ready to head home last weekend before a reversal of fortune. On Wednesday, goals by Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey led to an upset of the planet’s top-ranked team.

Call it a miracle on grass—maybe not the World Cup, but still an American soccer echo of the U.S. hockey team’s upset of the Soviet Union at the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics.

By winning, the maligned United States advanced to its first men’s FIFA final since starting play in 1916.

Altidore scored in the 27th minute and Dempsey added a goal in the 74th as the Americans became the first team to defeat Spain since Romania in November 2006.

“It goes to show what hard work and commitment to each other can bring,” said U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard, who made eight saves as he frustrated David Villa and Fernando Torres. “Sometimes football is a funny thing.”

Now the U.S. will play defending champion Brazil or host South Africa in Sunday’s final, which concludes a two-week tournament designed to prepare the organizers of next year’s World Cup.

“Regardless of whether we play Brazil or the Bafana Bafana, the challenge will be great,” U.S. coach Bob Bradley said.

Midfielder Michael Bradley, son of the U.S. coach, will miss the final. He received a red card for a late challenge in the 87th minute, the third American ejection of the tournament.

Still, American players had much to celebrate, given how slim the chances of such a U.S. victory seemed just a few days ago. Or any victory, for that matter. The 14th-ranked Americans were soundly defeated in their first two games in this event.

“I think it just shows that we can compete with the best. Now we need to do it on a consistent basis,” U.S. captain Carlos Bocanegra said.

Spain, the European champion, had set an international record with 15 straight victories and had tied Brazil’s record unbeaten streak of 35 games from December 1993 to January 1996.

The United States had been 1-7-1 against No. 1 teams, beating Brazil in the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup and tying Argentina last summer in an exhibition at Giants Stadium.

“This is an accident, a little step backward,” Spain coach Vicente del Bosque said. “We have to look forward with optimism.”

Altidore got the first goal when he outmuscled Joan Capdevila, his teammate on Spain’s Villarreal, to send an 18-yard shot in off the hand of goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Capdevila thought he was fouled by Altidore, who had engaged in some trash texting a few days ago.

“I told him, ‘Be careful of the USA.’ And he tried to say I didn’t understand Spanish, so it was just all fun and games,” Altidore said. “We’re teammates and we were just messing around with each other a little bit, but in the end we had the last laugh.”

Altidore, a 19-year-old forward from New Jersey, was so excited after he scored that he took off his jersey as he ran toward the stands in celebration, drawing a yellow card. It was the first goal against Spain in 451 minutes, since Turkey’s Semih Senturk scored on April 1, and just the third goal the Spaniards allowed in 17 games dating to last summer’s European Championship.

Dempsey sealed the victory, scoring from 6 yards when he pounced on Landon Donovan’s cross, which had bounced off Gerard Pique and the foot of Sergio Ramos.

“There will ups and downs in any cycle,” U.S. Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati said. “I think this tournament makes that point very clearly. Tonight was a very big up.”

The U.S. opened the tournament with a 3-1 loss to world champion Italy, then was outclassed by South American champ Brazil in a 3-0 defeat. The Americans advanced over the Italians on the second tiebreaker—total goals—only by beating Egypt 3-0 on Sunday as Brazil defeated the Azzurri by the same score.

“Three games ago I think it would have been impossible to think about a night like tonight,” Howard said. “We’ve had our fair share of critics, but we stood up and took it on the chin and kept going.”

While the U.S. women have won two world championships, the men have long been outsiders and didn’t even qualify for the showcase event between 1950 and ’90. This ranked alongside the upset of Brazil as one of their top wins, just below victories over England in the 1950 World Cup, Portugal and Mexico in the 2002 World Cup and Colombia in the 1994 World Cup.

Spain outshot the U.S. 29-9 in near-freezing conditions at the Free State Stadium, but Howard came up big every time he was needed.

“We knew we had to pick and choose our moments to go forward,” Dempsey said. “We’re happy with the result and we know we’re going to have our work cut out to get anything out of the final.”

The United States had lost its three previous matches against Spain, including 1-0 in an exhibition on June 4 last year at Santander. But the Americans were boosted by Bocanegra, who had been sidelined since injuring a hamstring during a World Cup qualifier on June 6. He played left back instead of central defense.

On this night, everything came together.

“This win is huge for American soccer,” Dempsey said. “This one is much sweeter because we were down and out, came back fighting.”

Three years after buying ATI, AMD is reorganizing its GPU and CPU business under the same roof. The goal is to unify the company's goals, but also unify CPU and GPU in a single chip - the vision that led to the ATI acquisition in the first place. As far as we know, the plan is to get a fused CPU and GPU sometime in 2011.

People have becoming impatient and investors must have questioned the logic of getting a multi-billion debt, asking for when it will pay off. Since then, AMD has been using "Fusion" left and right, but they basically believe in heterogeneous computing, which is the usage of CPUs associated with arrays of smaller units, like those found in GPUs. NVIDIA is currently doing quite well with CUDA and Intel is working on Larrabee, its own GPU.

AMD is trying to get ahead of Intel Corp., which released its six-core Xeon 7400 server chip last September and plans to add an eight-core processor code-named Nehalem EX next year, Insight64 analyst Nathan Brookwood said.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. last week said it will release a six-core Opteron processor in June, five months ahead of schedule. And it detailed plans to add chips supporting up to 12 cores next year and 16 in 2011.

AMD, which reported a $416 million first-quarter loss last week, said the six-core server chip, code-named Istanbul, will provide up to a 30% performance boost over current quad-core Opterons while using the same amount of power.

Istanbul will be followed early next year by a chip code-named Magny-Cours, which will ship in eight- and 12-core models, AMD said. And in 2011, the company plans to release a processor called Interlagos, which will be offered with 12 and 16 cores.

As the recent test conducted by Northrop Gruman, they were able to squeezed 105kW of power from their laser, passing the "100kW threshold [that] has been viewed traditionally as a proof of principle for 'weapons grade' power levels for high-energy lasers" , Dan Wildt - Northrop's vice president of directed energy systems , said in a statement.

With this new results the battlefield having lasers cutting down enemy arsenals is getting near.

Other researches that will help push the laser weapons in to becoming a reality.
The Army recently gave Boeing a $36 million contract to build a laser-equipped truck. Raytheon is set to start test-firing a mortar-zapper of its own. Darpa is funding a 150 kilowatt laser project that is meant to be fitted onto "tactical aircraft."

after the fight. the defeated Graham Acre Bearing the name Mr. Bushido took his knife and was about to commit hara kiri but has been stopped by the words left by Setsuna - "I'll Fight to live on"

After the Setsuna Acker clash the Celestial being received the location of Veda from un unknown source. And also their supply has arrive for their next mission.

After loading their supplies. Celestial being proceed to the Darkside of the Moon where Veda is held. Spotting the large fleet of ALAWS, the gundams launch and proceed to attack ALAWS.
Then their battle started with the 3 front carrriers of ALAWS launch their mobile suits to intercept the Gundams, while moving forward. With Sumeragi noticing the 3 carriers that are still moving forward, she immediately issued a command to setsuna to cut the carriers with its sword. But to their supprise the carriers was loaded with GN disrupter that had spread on a large area surrounding the Celestial Beings Location.

Although discovered immediately, ALAWS plan to trap celestial being was still succesful and they launch their Main force to annihilate the gundams. Using only Weapons not powered by GN particles, ALAWS are overwhelming the Gundams, damaging the left side of Ptolemius. But just as before ALAWS totally overpower the gundams reinforcement from Katharon arrive backing up the Gundams as well as the Forces of Manequine flanking the ALAWS Battleships. And tyhe three forces continue to press forward until they have wipe out all ALAWS infornt of them.

Earlier this morning i have read regarding this news of 2 large communication satellites have collided with each other. It was said that this was the first occurrence of this incident having 2 intact spacecraft in orbit to collide as what NASA have said last Wednesday. The said incident occurred last February 10, 2009, producing a pair of massive debris cloud 500 miles Over Siberia. With still uncertainties on the magnitude of the situation for at least a week as reported by NASA.

"MANILA, Philippines -- A day after promoters declared the fight has been called off after an impasse over the prize money, Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao has agreed to accept the offer to fight British superstar Ricky Hatton on May 2, a report on philboxing.com said.

The report quoting Pacquiao's close friend and confidante Rex "Wakee" Salud said the Filipino idol was convinced when told that he would receive a $12 million guarantee and 52 percent of the pay-per-view shares.

Eric Pineda, Pacquiao's business manager, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that the "other camp has reached out to salvage the fight."

Pineda, however, stopped short of confirming that the fight was back on track.

"All I can say right now is that there are developments in the negotiations," he said in a telephone interview.

Pacquiao had been insisting on a 60-40 deal, even though his promoter, Bob Arum, and Hatton's camp had agreed to an equal split.

This did not sit well with Pacquiao, who did not sign the contract before the Wednesday deadline, prompting Arum and Golden Boy Promotions chief Richard Schaefer to announce that the super-fight between the world's top pound-for-pound fighter and the king of the 140-pound division had been called off.".

The supposedly fight between Philippine champ Manny Pacquiao and British sensation Ricky Hatton on May 2 has been called off after both sides could not agree on splitting the purse.

"Richard Schaefer, chief executive for Hatton backers Golden Boy Promotions, told ESPN and the Los Angeles Times that the bout was called off by Hatton after Pacquiao would not sign a deal by a Wednesday deadline.
"The fight is off," Schaefer told ESPN. "We're pursuing our other options. That's it. The Hattons called me and asked again if we had a signed deal from Pacquiao and when I said we didn't, they said they won't sit around anymore."

Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao, said the Filipino hero wanted more money and a bigger split of the profits from the 50-50 deal for what would have been a Las Vegas spectacle.

"Manny decided not to sign. He was unhappy with the terms," Arum told ESPN. "The fight is off. The suits can posture but it's the fighters who have to go in the ring and fight. But I am not thrilled right now."

Fighters were set to tour starting next week to promote the fight. Now Hatton is scrambling to find another opponent to face on May 2.

Hatton, 45-1 with 32 knockouts, hopes to fight Oscar de la Hoya, the winner of next month's fight between Juan Diaz and Juan Manuel Marquez or retired star Floyd Mayweather. Such a bout might even be staged at London's Wembley Stadium.

A Mayweather-Hatton fight would be a rematch of the 2007 bout in which Mayweather stopped the Englishman in the 10th round at Las Vegas. Mayweather has not fought in the 13 months since and declared himself retired.

Pacquiao, 48-3 with two drawn and 36 knockouts, could still step in and save the fight by agreeing to the deal before another rival was signed, but that wasn't seen as a likely possibility given him missing the deadline.

Arum said Pacquiao's next possible foes include Humberto Soto, but the payday would be far less than the $10 million to $12 million he would been assured out of even a 50-50 split with Hatton for their fight."

Philippines, specifically Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo was aiming to set a world record for Playing a straight 35hrs 20minutes of playing football.

A town 30kms northeast of the city of iloilo. was aiming a new Guinness record for playing the longest Football Game equivalent to 35hrs 20 minutes with a total of 9 games and a score of 136 - 133 from the two teams representing Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF) team and Barotac Nuevo Comprehensive High School (BNCHS) team with their score respectively presented. The game has been played starting last January 16, 2009 at 8:35 am until 8:15p.m. the next day on the Football field at the public plaza of Barotac Nuevo.

“We believed we have set a new world record and the players are happy despite the fatigue,” Duffie Botavara, general secretary of the Barotac Nuevo Football Club and the Iloilo Football Association, said in a telephone interview.

Botavara said the previous record for the longest football game played was 31 hours in Australia. Aside from aiming for the record of the longest game played, Botavara said they also wanted to set the record for the most number of games played continuously.

Cheered by their town-mates, the two teams composed of 18 persons each played nine 90-minute games. Each game has two 45-minute halves with a 10-minute break between halves.

Nine referees working in three shifts officiated the game.

Botavara said because of the duration of the game, they slightly modified the rules and a “floating substitution” format was adopted. This allowed the unlimited substitution of players who returned to the game even after they have been substituted.

Football regulations allow only two substitutions per game and players who have been replaced cannot return to the game.

“We ensured that at any given time, nine to 10 players from each team were on the field while the others rested,” said Botavara.

The players did not sleep and only rested at the players’ quarters where they also ate, said Botavara.

The BNCNHS was composed of players 17 years old and below while the ISCOF players belonged to the collegiate division. Each team had a member of the national team.

“Many wanted to join the game but we had to turn them down because of the limited number of players allowed,” said Botavara.
The organizers of the event will send a video of the game to the Guinness World Records to authenticate and make the new record official.

I have stumbled on a photo of a person wearing a robo suit while searching for some images to use for a litte practice editing. And after that i find myself search for the details of this suit and here pops alot more search results that i have come to like. Well yeah this robo suit articles were already 2 yrs but it might be worth posting it.

First comes the robo suits as the image from the left shows HAL5. HAL or Hybrid Assistive Limb which are capable of increasing their users strength of up to 5 times. This robo suit sync with the user movement by detecting muscel movements from the user skin.

With this it can help the old people from moving with out bothering their care taker.

Next is the land walker a one-man, two-legged supposed walker transport, 3.40 metres in height. The vehicle's design features a cockpit, two legs, and two air cannons (each firing large rubber balls). The legs end in feet containing wheels that help push the walker forward.

Hiroshi Ishiguro is a busy man. Between his two jobs, countless meetings and presentations, his demanding schedule was eating up all his time. So he built an android version of himself to pick up the slack.

Brandon Crisp, 15, took off on his bicycle from his Barrie, Ontario home on October 13, provoking a massive police search with help from 1,600 volunteers that turned up no clues except for his abandoned bicycle with a flat tire.

Xbox-maker Microsoft and others had offered a 50,000-dollar (39,000-dollar US) reward for information on his whereabouts.

Wednesday, police said only that hunters had found a body in the search area.

The daily Toronto Star said on its website Brandon’s parents had been notified it was their son, and students at his school were told the sad news at an afternoon assembly.

Brandon’s father previously said he had removed Brandon’s Xbox after noticing changes in his behavior since Brandon started playing “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” online.

The boy started skipping school, stealing money and ignoring his studies, his father said.

In an interview with the daily Globe and Mail, the boy’s father, Steve Crisp, said he had not known how important the gaming system was to his son and how he would react when it was taken away.

Experts commented that gamers may form bonds with fellow online players.

“This had become his identity, and I didn’t realize how in-depth this was until I took his Xbox away,” Steve Crisp told the Globe and Mail. “That’s like cutting his legs off.”

“This is such an issue that hits every parent out there, with video games that are starting to control our kids’ lives,” he said.

“I just took away his identity, so I can understand why he got so mad and took off. Before, I couldn’t understand why he was taking off for taking his game away.”

As for me, this is not the fault of the kid or the console. This is due to lack of supervision or a parent-child interaction.

Chouji's group arrived at the scene where kakashi and pain is fighting. And Chouza describing how clever kakashi was ever since they have teamed up from before. As they are having their conversation Pain charge on them. The group counter attack but because of Pain's ability he wasnt able to receive any hits. During the attack kakashi notice something how they can defeat pain. also describing to Chouza how pain evades all attack and that is by pushing or pulling things. But what kakashi notice was the interval in using the jutsu and even with the little time interval they plan on using it to defeat pain.

Kakashi suddenly appears below Pain pointing the kunai. Pain states that kakashi would be a nuissance to him especially having multiple types of techniques (jutsu). Then Chouji and his father Chouza came rushing to crush pain. But pain push them aside using his technique. However it was just faint attack and their main purpose was grab the chain that kakashi laid on the ground and use Pain's ability to pull the chains to be able to keep pain steady. Kakashi then thrust forward using his chidori to kill Pain. But before the kunai reach Pain the other Pain appear in front of him to protect him from his defeat.

After a successful the battle at Proud. Exia and Setsuna has boarded Ptollemues II.

While Exia's solar furnace is being installed to the new unit. Setsuna set-off on a mission to search for their commrades.

The first he found was the new Lockon Stratos, Lyle Dylandy younger brother of the late Lockon
Stratos. Still unconvinced Setsuna tells Lyle that he his bother has also been a gundam meister and that he will be the one to continue his brother's goal.

Setsuna proceeds and to the location of their strategist Ms. Sumeragi.

After talking to Ms. Sumeragi the two went off to the space and meet Lockon Stratos. And with a little introduction they went on their way to Ptollemeus II.

At the Ptollemeus. . .
Tierra Erde and the others have installed the solar furnace of Exia to their new Gundam. As they are having trouble on setting up the new unit. They have received an information that the A-LAWS was on their way and so Tierra Erde and Seravee went off. While on their way to Ptollemeus setsuna has also spotted the enemy formation and Ms. Summeragi immedietly ordered a command to their commrades to delay their enemy. With no further ado Setsuna jump off to the hatch of the new unit; Gundam 00.
Still with a doubt if Gundam 00 would start setsuna proceed to activate the TransAM. Setsuna was able to start Gundam 00 and was able to reach its stable state just in time to release its GN particles to protect the 00 and Ptolemeus from one of the A-LAWS Mobile suit who shot a beam. With its new Gundam with Twin Drive, Setsuna illiminates the first A-LAWS unit. The next unit was able to stop Setsuna's attack by using bombs to disable particle beam shots. Then then enemy charged with confidence to its mellee attack capability. But was elliminated by Setsuna with just a slash from its GN sword. As to A-LAWS remaining Mobile suit they retreated.

After their victory. Celestial being welcomed their new comrade and the new Lockon Stratos Lyle Dylandy.

Starting the month of october with one of the finest anime series Gundam-00 is really awesome.
Oh well i have been waiting for this since the season 1 has ended, which marks the defeat of their real foe Alexandro Coroner and with the preview of the next enemy Livone. The end of season 1 is sad but freakin cool.

Now season has Commenced and it wont be long enough to see the Gundam Meisters in action.
Setsuna is really great at the start of this season. He was also able to repair Exia on his own and had survived for years without being track.

An 80-year-old German motorist obediently following his navigation system ignored a motorway "closed for construction" sign and crashed his Mercedes into a pile of sand further down the road, police said Monday.

"The driver was following the orders from his navigation system and even though there was a sufficient number of warnings and barricades, he continued his journey into the construction site," a police spokeswoman told Reuters.

"His trip finally ended when he wound up crashing into a pile of sand," she added.

He looked just like any other 5-year-old boy, until Justin Daniel Junio jumped into the water yesterday and set a record for swimming across the Mactan Channel.

Junio achieved what many grown-ups could not.

In nearly two hours, he swam 6 kilometers to cross the 3-km channel because he was swept away from the route by strong currents.

Hundreds of cheering Cebuanos watched the event on ferryboats that delayed their departures, on vessels under repair and maintenance at the Ouano wharf, and on the Mandaue-Mactan bridge.

They were not disappointed as they witnessed the youngest person to ever cross the channel.

“We are very happy that he made it. Ever since, we were confident that he would make it because he loves the water so much and it was his desire to cross the channel,” retired Air Force Colonel Florencio Junio said after his son emerged from the water.

Junio showed no sign of fatigue and stress while his mother, Ma. Vilena, 50, held him as cameras clicked. Asked by reporters if he was tired, he shook his head. He drank a glass of chocolate milk before he was driven to his hotel where a medical team examined him.

“I’m very proud of him. I was excited and nervous, but I knew he could do it,” Junio’s mother said.

Junio was supposed to start swimming at 7 a.m. from the ferryboat terminal in Lapu-Lapu City across from the Ouano wharf in Mandaue together with his coach, Master Sergeant Jairulla Jaitulla, and four frogmen from the Philippine Navy.

But this was delayed by 37 minutes because of the media frenzy. The boy went to the rear of a ferryboat, played with its steering wheel for a while, then jumped into the water without waiting for the cue from his father or organizers of the event.

Junio, along with his coach and the escorting Navy men, reached the Ouano wharf in roughly 20 minutes.

TOKYO (AFP) - Japanese carmaker Nissan has said it will mobilize 10,000 drivers in a 30-month experiment to develop an "intelligent transportation system" that sends wireless messages to passing cars.

Car approaching from left" and "School ahead. Watch your speed," are two voice messages which drivers will receive through the system which uses information obtained from nearby vehicles and roadside optical beacons.

The information is received by an onboard antenna on the vehicle to alert drivers to potential danger from approaching vehicles or inform them of traffic congestion ahead, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. said in a statement.

The test will start on October 1 on public roads in Kanagawa, a prefecture just south of Tokyo, with the number-two Japanese carmaker hoping to commercialize the system in 2010.

"We want to make it a success in Kanagawa prefecture and spread the technology nationwide and around the world," Nissan senior vice president Minoru Shinohara told a news conference.

The experiment will involve Nissan cars equipped with the company's own car navigation system.

The system is seen feasible in Japan where more than 50 percent of cars are equipped with such navigational gadgets linked to the via-satellite Global Positioning System, compared with fewer than 10 percent in the United States and European countries.

The system will be developed in cooperation with NTT DoCoMo, consumer electronics maker Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., the National Police Agency and other concerns, the statement said.

The experiment will test several functions including the "vehicle alert" which tells drivers that other vehicles are moving too fast at blind intersections.

"Speed alert" warns drivers when they are speeding in a school zone. An image of a school zone sign appears on the drivers navigation screen along with a voice warning.

The system also includes "dynamic route finder" which informs drivers of the quickest route to their destination using probe data collected from mobile phones operated by NTT DoCoMo.

"Worst Birthday"

Last week was my birthday and i didn’t feel very well waking up that morning. I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, “happy birthday!”, and possibly have a present for me. As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone “happy birthday.”

I thought… well, that’s marriage for you, but the kids will remember. My kids came into breakfast and didn’t say a word. So when i left for the office, i was feeling pretty low and somewhat despondent.

As i walked into my office, my secretary jane said, “good morning, boss, happy birthday!” It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered. I worked until one o’clockand then jane knocked on my door and said, “you know, it’s such a beautiful day outside, and it’s your birthday, let’s go out to lunch, just you and me.”

I said, “thanks jane, that’s the greatest thing i’ve heard all day. Let’s go!” We went to lunch. But we didn’t go where we normally would go. We dined instead at a little place with a private table. We had two martinis each and i enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office, jane said, “you know, it’s such a beautiful day… we don’t need to go back to the office, do we?” I responded, “i guess not. What do you have in mind?” She said, “let’s go to my apartment.”

After arriving at her apartment jane turned to me and said, “boss,if you don’t mind, i’m going to step into the bedroom for a moment. I’ll be right back.” “Ok.” I nervously replied.

She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake… followed by my wife, kid’s , and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing “happy birthday”.

And i just sat there…
